<!-- /*--><!--/*--> A Rose is a Rose is a Rose is a Rose: Mr. Vick

Mr. Vick

Hello readers! I hope you're having a good week - mine is creeping by slowly, probably because I'm so excited to be heading to my future home of Sacramento in a few days!! We're going to look at houses & apartments, and just generally get a feel for the area. Also, we're going to make some time to explore Sonoma and all its cute shops and restaurants (and perhaps a winery . . . or two!). I'm so excited to go explore my new home and see what it's like! Pretty crazy to think that I'm about to move so far away to a city I've never even visited yet.

On a completely separate note, this week's Haiku was inspired by my sweet older pup, Vick. He is just the sweetest dog ever. Yes, our little girl Izzie is a mess and so cute and keeps us laughing all the time, but I have a special place in my heart for my little man Vick.

See, he's that pup we got right after we got married--that all-important first step in married life of buying a dog together. And he loves his mama--he's a total mama's boy, and I love it :-). He's also been there every step of the way for me: every up and down in our marriage, every trial and tribulation of law school. The way Vick senses emotion in me is almost human-like. When I'm upset, wild horses couldn't tear him away from my side. He is a precious pup, a true gift in my life.

So, this week's Haiku is dedicated to him--enjoy! :-)

Mr. Vick

Eyes from human mold,

Gentle licker of my tears--

Sweet friend, from the start.
